常规单词积累一定要集中在2016考研英语复习的前期，否则后面无论阅读复习还是翻译复习的开展都会有困难。同时，单词记忆不能只记中文释义，要掌握其常见用法，固定搭配，并且在能力范围内利用词根触类旁通。

　　n.仁慈，怜悯，宽恕

　　v.承认，容许;(比赛结束前)认输，退让

　　【例1】I was forced to concede that she might be right.我不得不承认她可能是对的。

　　【例2】The chess-player conceded the game when he saw that his position was hopeless.棋手看出自己陷入绝境，就承认那局他输了。

　　【构词】con-+cede(割让)→让出去→让步

　　【同义替换】admit, recognize, acknowledge; yield, compromise

　　【派生】concededly a.无可争辩地，毫无疑问地

　　★ condense

　　v.(使)冷凝，(使)凝结;浓缩，压缩

　　【例1】The drop in temperature condensed the steam to water.温度下降使蒸汽凝结成了水。

　　【例2】The report was condensed into a summary.这篇报道被精简成了一篇摘要。

　　【构词】con-+dense(密集的)→变得密集的→压缩，凝结

　　【同义替换】coagulate, condensate; concentrate, compress

　　【派生】condensation n.压缩，凝结 condensed a.压缩的
