二、连词since引导状语从句

　　1、引导时间状语从句：since表示“自从……以来”

　　例：It’s been years since I enjoyed myself so much as last night.

　　我已经好多年没有像昨晚那么痛快了。

　　2、引导原因状语从句：since表示“因为”，“既然”，表达说话者认为已成为事实的原因。

　　例：Since we’ve no moneywe can’t buy a new car.

　　因为我们没钱，我们不能买新汽车。

　　三、连词while引导状语从句

　　1、引导时间状语从句：while表示“与……同时;与此同时”，表明从句和主句的动作同时发生或进行，并且常有相反或者对比的语气。

　　例：While computers offer these conveniences to consumers, they have many advantages for sellers too.

　　电脑给消费者提供了这些便利的同时，对销售者而言也有很多好处。

　　2、引导让步状语从句：while表示“尽管”，“虽然”，义同although或though。

　　例：While I admit that there are problems, I don’t agree that they cannot be solved.

　　尽管我承认有问题存在，但我不同意说这些问题无法解决。

　　四、连词so that引导状语从句;与so…that进行区分

　　1、引导结果状语从句：so that表示“因此”，“以至于”。

　　例：Nothing more was heard from him so that we began to wonder if he was dead.

　　再也没听到他的消息，因此我们有些怀疑他是否死了。

　　2、引导目的状语从句：so that表示“为了”，“以便于”。

　　例：She worked hard so that everything would be ready by 6 o’clock.

　　她拼命干以便能到6点时把一切都准备好。

　　3、与so…that进行区分：so/ such...that...引导的结果状语从句：表示“如此……以至于……”

　　例：We get so used to looking at television that it begins to dominate our lives.

　　我们习惯于看电视，以至于电视开始支配我们的生活。
