If you're dating in Russia and using Tinder, youshould know that the Russian government is nowrequiring the app to turn over the data on itsusers–including messages–to the nationalintelligence agencies, including the Federal SecurityService (FSB), the Associated Press (AP) reports.

It's not just Tinder. Apparently, the Russiancommunications regulator has a list of 175 onlineservices operating in the country that are required to keep six months of user data–includingDMs–to furnish to Russian authorities on demand.

Failure to comply results in blocking, as LinkedIn recently found out. The AP reported thatZello, a voice messaging app popular with Russian truck drivers, was also blocked.
